What happened next demonstrates the truth that a disciple must have a deep inner contact with a God Realized guru.* Then only the guru’s help can reach the disciple.
If the disciple nurtures only a superficial outer contact with the guru (where he/she focusses on talking to the guru, on hearing his advice face to face etc.) then the guru cannot help the disciple properly.
The disciple must open the doors of his/her consciousness and establish an inner unshakable contact with guru, which can transcend distance and even death.
